Our Story
We are a Christ-minded, family owned and operated business which presently extends through 2 generations. I can only hope to accumulate as many years as did my father in this industry, but presently I enjoy a 32 year tenure as compared. My passion for mechanics’ began some thirty years ago having followed my Father's footsteps serving in the United States Navy as a Jet Engine Mechanic.
My formal automotive training began with a 2 year training program at the Automotive Training Institute in Virginia, Beach VA. I later came to work with Mercedes Benz in 1985 at RBM of Atlanta where I received specialized training provided by Mercedes Benz of North America. Before his retiring I did get the opportunity to work with my Father where we serviced Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Audi, Jaguar and Volvo lines.
When it was decided to open Benz and Beamer in 2004 it was an easy decision to stay primarily with Mercedes and BMW due to their similar technology and tooling requirements. I initially took some heat from my BMW brethren when I chose the politically incorrect spelling of “Beamer” as opposed to “Bimmer”.
It was after reading the story of Todd Beamer and the heroics displayed on board United Flight 93 on 9/11 that I felt compelled to use the same spelling in our name. I guess you can say from there the rest of our story here is still in the making.
